The only one of its kind in the French-speaking academic world, the EIOM offers courses of a quality that rivals the best methodological schools in Europe and North America.
The EIOM aims to promote the tools and methods of empirical research in the French-speaking world. It offers methodological training for graduate students and professionals wishing to deepen their technical and methodological knowledge. The EIOM also provides an opportunity to share knowledge within an interdisciplinary network of researchers through conferences and other social activities.
A French-language summer school on interdisciplinary research methods
The EIOM is an event for graduate students, including masters, doctoral and post-doctoral students, and research professionals from Quebec, Canada, and abroad.
Students from the faculties of social sciences, administrative sciences, geography, agriculture, humanities and law will be particularly interested in our program.
One of Quebec's most ambitious programs
With over a dozen teachers, the EIOM is the largest methodology school in Quebec. It offers a wide range of courses in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods, presented by professors, lecturers, and speakers specialized in empirical research methods.

With afternoons dedicated to learning research tools, the EIOM takes an approach that enables participants to consolidate their theoretical knowledge and familiarize themselves with the latest developments in the world of research.

The École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes (EIOM) is a creation of the École supérieure d’études internationales (ESEI), in collaboration with the Chaire de leadership en enseignement des sciences sociales numériques (CLESSN) and the Centre d’analyse des politiques publiques (CAPP).
